BMW, Free Credit Score, Remix, Mixtape

I am waiting to here back from my contact at BMW North America – he is going to get my CD into the hands of the BMW marketing department. How cool!

My mom heard this commercial on TV – we think it sounds WAY TOO similar to The Google Rap. More on this coming soon, we are investigating.

I downloaded a few instrumental pop songs and will begin recording a free mixtape. I am meeting with a RAD/Phil to discuss my project. He found me at an event 2 weeks ago and I won some free studio time.

I am waiting to here back from DJ Nick Harvey and what he has come up with for my remix tracks.

It’s happening. I am giving, I am receiving, the Universe is willing. I am ready.

much love,

It’s going to be a great year

It’s going to be a great year. I made a lot of progress in the last year, but I think I am going to make twice that in 2012. Let’s make this the best year for humanity YET! In January, I am kicking off a remix project with DJ Nick Harvey. I am sooooo excited to get some remixes that DJs will want to play.

80s

Had such a blast at a friend’s company party. It was 80s themed and the DJ was on POINT! The club was the flashiest I have seen in NYC – Kiss & Sky. The Meat Packing district is my favorite area so far! I would mash Hells Kitchen and Meat Packing into one.

Auditions for Amatuer Night

chad d apollo theater auditions I got up at 5am. This had been planned for several weeks. Auditions for “Amatuer Night at the Apollo Theater” began at 10. I emailed them to ask what time people start lining up to audition. They responded with something along the lines of “get there early.” Totally understood that, so I planned on getting there at 7. We arrived at 6:45am after a not-so-ideal breakfast choice of Dunkin Donuts. I’m (not really) surprised that nothing better was open at that time.

Waiting in line I met two guys that were auditioning their comedy. They were cool dudes and we all helped each other pass the time. Once I finally got on stage, I stated my name and number loud and clear and the track rolled. I began “End Game,” got through about 40 seconds, then judge stopped at the end of the first verse. As far as I am concerned, it was a success and I will find out the results in the coming weeks.

Big thanks to Tommy for getting up early and providing transportation. We ate lunch at O’Flanigan’s in midtown and got home around 4pm. Slept for 4 hours and then hit up my favorite club in NYC: The Ritz!! Much love to Ronnie, Chad, Jonjon & Xavier.
